Yourdog Quail Dog takes care of your dog's overall health and wellbeing. All Yourdog foods contain tasty buffalo and chicken meat. We combine this with carefully selected vegetables, fruit and herbs to create the perfect food for your Quail Dog.

Why Yourdog Quail

Rich in buffalo and poultry. Made specifically for Quail Dogs. Contains nettle, celery and banana. Promotes a healthy, shiny coat. Maintains healthy gut flora. Free from artificial colours, flavourings and fragrances. Also suitable for sensitive Quail Dogs.

Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag so that it can be processed better in our dry food. We use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and its rich colour, and is full of vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, which makes it very good for your dog's health.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry support good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide your dog with additional valuable nutrients, we have added super healthy vegetables to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the gut and can, among other things, support digestion.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provides your dog with all the important natural antioxidants. Fruit can, for example, be good for your dog's immune system, but it can also help to keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients support your dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, algae etc. has a tradition going back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in your dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on your dog's size, breed or breed group, certain ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific complaints can be eased by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Vegetables, herbs and fruits specific to the Quail Dog

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Quail Dog. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Quail Dog belongs. Based on these studies, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we selected ingredients that have an optimal effect on the health and wellbeing of the Quail Dog.

Nettle

Nettle is a plant genus, of which the stinging nettle and the small nettle occur in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying effect. According to various sources, nettle is bactericidal and therefore very well suited to infectious diseases. The leaves are also suitable for diarrhoea or other digestive disorders.

Nettle supports the function of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. It also supports the bladder and your dog's hair growth.

Nettle also contains silicic acid, or silicon. This is a building block that is, among other things, a component of the connective tissue of bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair and nails. Silicon supports the natural production of skin (cells) and ensures healthy skin.

At Yourdog we add nettle to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints relating to your dog's coat, skin and bones, as well as to preventing digestive and/or urinary tract problems.

Celery

Celery is a plant from the umbellifer family. The plant is often found on the coast, on damp ground.

Celery is rich in vitamins A, C and K, but also contains plenty of folic acid and potassium. In addition, celery is fat-free, high in fibre and very low in calories.

We add celery to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to supporting dogs' immune and digestive systems. It can also have a positive effect on skin and coat, on muscle and nerve function thanks to vitamin A, and on maintaining strong bones thanks to vitamin K.

Banana

The banana plant grows in tropical regions where temperatures do not fall below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that bananas were already being cultivated in New Guinea around 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word banaana in the language of the Wolof people.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals. These include vitamins A, C and B11 (folic acid) as well as the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc. Vitamin C, a natural antioxidant, can strengthen the body's defences. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a well-functioning nervous system. It can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Potassium can also help to lower blood pressure in dogs with high blood pressure, while magnesium can relax the muscles and promote bone growth. In addition, bananas contain plenty of good fibre and provide more good bacteria in the gut.

Switching advice

If you are switching from another brand of dog food to Yourdog, we recommend following the steps below. In the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Let your dog get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old food. It is important to let your dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After that, you can feed 100% Yourdog. Once opened, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. It is therefore important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food into the tub loose, but to place it in the tub together with the whole bag, closed as tightly as possible.
