Why Yourdog Bordeaux Dog
Rich in buffalo and poultry. Made especially for the Bordeaux Dog. Contains chamomile, raspberries and blueberries. Promotes a healthy, shiny coat. Maintains healthy gut flora. Free from artificial colours, flavourings and fragrances. Also suitable for sensitive Bordeaux Dogs. Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag so that it can be processed better in our kibble. At Yourdog we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour, and it is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, which makes it very good for health.
Poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry support good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the gut and can, among other things, support digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provides the dog with all the important natural antioxidants. Fruit can, for example, be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also help keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients support the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, algae and so on has a tradition going back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully chosen for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, certain ingredients are emphasised. Breed-specific complaints can be eased through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Vegetables, herbs and fruits specific to the Bordeaux Dog
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Bordeaux Dog. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Bordeaux Dog belongs. From these studies, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutrition scientists, ingredients were selected that have an optimal effect on the health and wellbeing of the Bordeaux Dog.
Chamomile
Chamomile is a genus in the daisy family. Chamomile is grown on a large scale in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name chamomile comes from the Greek and means "ground apple", referring to its apple scent. Chamomile enjoys an excellent reputation in natural medicine.
We can add chamomile to Yourdog because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the stomach, gut, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammation and urinary tract.
Chamomile can have a mildly calming effect on the dog and can therefore be used for dogs that are often stressed. It can also have a positive effect on dogs with nervous digestion, as it can have a decongestant and antiseptic effect.
Raspberries
The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. Raspberries have been cultivated since the Middle Ages and are naturally widespread throughout Europe.
Raspberries contain many substances that can support the dog's health, e.g. vitamins such as vitamin C, minerals such as manganese, and antioxidants. Raspberries are also low in sugar and calories and rich in good fibre.
Raspberries are added to our dog food for their anti-inflammatory properties and can make a positive contribution to the function of the immune system. Raspberries can also help maintain eyesight and a healthy cardiovascular system.
Blueberries
Blueberries belong to the heath family and grow mainly in open forests of the northern hemisphere. The plant has long been used in traditional European medicine and is said to have positive effects on gastrointestinal complaints and diabetes.
Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body from free radicals. They also contain good fibre for digestion and are rich in vitamins C and K. They can support the immune system and contribute to the dog's general health.

If you are switching from another food brand to Yourdog, we recommend the following steps. In the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Let the dog get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost fully switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then feed 100% Yourdog at your own discretion. The food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. It is therefore important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to pour the food into the container on its own, but to put it in together with the whole bag, which you should close as well as possible.
