PUUR Natuur Calm Confidence, 30 ml. For nervousness, restlessness and irritability. For acute events such as transport, competition, or a vet visit. For horses: when clipping or during farrier treatment. Supplement for horses, dogs and cats. Composition: diluted extracts of oat (Avena sativa), lime (Tilia) and passionflower (Passiflora incarnata). Alcohol 44%. Dosage, unless prescribed otherwise by a vet or therapist, twice daily: horse 20-30 drops, dog 10-15 drops, cat 5-10 drops. 1 ml = 20 drops. Shake well before use. If giving this product several times a day is impractical, it's enough to give it once a day or once every 2 days. In that case, give the maximum single-day dose. This product still works effectively that way, but a response may take longer. Once improvement occurs, a maintenance dose can be used. This is usually half the dose stated on the packaging. Watch the animal's response when giving this product. A higher dose may be needed at first; this product can safely be given at double the dose. As improvement occurs, gradually reduce to the lowest effective dose. With some dilutions and extracts, a brief worsening can occur at the start of treatment. This means the animal is responding to the product. In case of a strong reaction, halve the dose or pause it temporarily, then build it back up slowly. Administration: give this product directly into the mouth with a plastic syringe, diluted with a little water if needed. Preferably not at the same time as a meal, since the product works better when absorbed through the clean oral mucosa. If an animal doesn't tolerate the product, the drops can be given on a small piece of food. Duration of treatment: in an acute situation, treatment is relatively short, ranging from a few days to 3 weeks. If improvement occurs, continue giving this product for a few more days. For long-standing complaints, an effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. This product can be given long-term. It's advisable to include a one-week break every 6 to 8 weeks. This lets the 'stimulus' be reintroduced after the break week. Resume treatment immediately if needed. Interactions and contraindications: always use in consultation with the treating vet during pregnancy and lactation. No adverse reactions to this product are known or reported so far.
